In keeping with the title of this book “Truth-Telling - Invasion or Peaceful Settlement - The Bangerangs”, the years have been confined between 1838 and 1848, firstly because there had been no written recorded intrusion into Bangerang territory by white man prior to 1838, secondly the subject of Invasion would be too large if not confined to the Bangerang Tribes and thirdly actual combat with guns and spears between the white man and the Bangerang Tribes had virtually ceased in the area by 1848.
